The University of La Rioja and the Bar set in motion a course in family mediation
Jose Maria Martinez de Pison, rector of the Universidad de La Rioja, and Victoria de Paul, dean of the College of Lawyers of La Rioja, yesterday signed a cooperation agreement for implementation of a specialized training course on family mediation which involved a maximum of 25 practicing lawyers.
The course, which will run from November 22, 2008 until the June 4, 2009, will last 200 hours divided into theoretical and practical sessions and will be delivered in time for Thursday and Friday afternoons . The opening will take place today at 16.30 at the headquarters of the College (Breton de los Herreros, 26).
The ultimate goal of course is to train as mediators to legal practitioners who have previous experience in these family processes, to guide those interested in it, and / or learn about ways to access the professional development of mediation since the private sector or public sector administrations.
