Film Festival In The Street
Community Film Festival "In the street" arises from the need to expand alternative exhibition in unconventional spaces and therefore offer the public a film that is difficult to offer access through commercial channels. In this sense, the Common Council "Don Pedro Rojas" has caused a meeting point where we can appreciate the great cultural branching in the region. Cinematic images of understanding, solidarity, tolerance, with views of each locality. In Elsa and Fred will see two old men, with much energy and tripping, again believe in love. The Polaquito will talk about a labor dispute in a railroad company and how solidarity leads workers to stir the prevailing operating system. Machuca child develop a relationship of friendship with a fellow bourgeois, in which social division is marked by the Pinochet coup. Synopsis: In Havana in 1958 a family of Alice and her son Samuel a decade, returns once again after the last of the failures of the young and loving insecure mother, Violet's house, the maternal grandmother of the child. There they meet the rejection of the sullen lady accented hobbies and little desire to share their privacy protected. Among the swirl of contradictions between mother and grandmother, the child tries to adapt, but this time will not be like previous ones, this time beginning to emerge the needs of their age, triggering a series of concerns that lead to the transformation of Samuel, who spends submission and conformity to a revolt that will forever mark their lives nearby. José Antonio Varela has a background in the audiovisual area where it has been highlighted, along with his brother Jose Luis Varela, writing scripts for short films, feature films and television unit. X command is his second feature.

Synopsis. Chile, 1973. Machuca tells the story of Gonzalo Infante and Pedro Machuca, two boys eleven years old, from political worlds and social opposites, they begin to study together through a new program of social integration in a religious school elitist. This plan is to enroll low-income children, for kids to learn tolerance and mutual respect. Thus began a great friendship full of discoveries and surprises in the middle of a really strong social confrontation.
Synopsis: Carlos Velmar, former railway employee and currently unoccupied, is interviewed by a major presenter of a television channel. The story of Carlos will lead to the unusual story of five rail of different ages and in different circumstances have been dismissed from the company. These desperate men out of the maze and try to rebuild their lives in a reality that surpasses and surprises, pushing them to a destination acid which is bound to worsen at any time. In parallel, a group of young adolescents, their children, seeing the hard times being experienced by their parents, decide to take a own initiative charged with a dangerous optimism gather them all in a single night in which irony mixed with truth, courage to death, failure to victory. A night that will forever.

There they meet the rejection of the sullen lady accented hobbies and little desire to share their privacy protected. Among the swirl of contradictions between mother and grandmother, the child tries to adapt, but this time will not be like previous ones, this time beginning to emerge the needs of their age, sparking a series of concerns that lead to the transformation of Samuel, who spends submission and conformity to a revolt that will forever mark their lives nearby. The cantankerous grandmother unwittingly influence instrumental in this change through unexpected half, creating a space that is appropriate for both. The grandmother, played by English actress Mercedes Sampietro consecrated and Samuel, Ivan Carreira for the child, the experiences show us, and the contradictory world of two generations distant, entrenched in the abrupt and disturbing world of adolescence.
