Mayor of La Paz declared honored guests to two international mediators


The Full City Council approved the declaration of the guests of honor Johan city Glatung, director of Transcend International Norway and Pesqueira Jorge Leal, director of the Mediation Institute of Mexico, to participate as keynote speakers at the fourth World Conference on Mediation, which will take place in La Paz, between 12 and 14 November.

The event, organized by the UNITE Foundation, also featuring prominent international mediators from Spain, Norway, France, Tunisia, Sweden, Switzerland, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Cuba, Portugal. The meeting has as its motto: "mediation as the way to a culture of peace and harmony."

The nature of the previous three World Congress, has generated a methodology that has emanated in a movement capable of producing a paradigm shift from a culture of violence to a culture of peace, says the ordinance passed by the Legislative mayor of La Paz.

addition, the law states that to get to consolidate a culture of peace, must travel a long way to produce significant changes in the cultures of all continents. Hence the relevance of the World Mediation Conference to be held in the city, which coincidentally is named for the purpose to be achieved: peace.

Pascual Jorge Pesqueira, the other guest of honor Born in Mexico, a PhD in Law and Sociology, a Masters in Public Safety and Policy Studies in Criminology and mediation, with a degree in law, specializing in Political Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Systemic Family Psychotherapy.

has extensive experience as national and international lecturer. He is a researcher, Secretary General of the International Center for Democracy and Social Peace. He is the author of studies of philosophy, sociology and law, disseminated in Spain, Argentina and Mexico.
