John Macleod is the adopted son Connor and Brenda, who makes an appearance in the film Highlander 3 played by Gabriel kakon. John was adopted as a child by Connor and Brenda at some point after moving to Scotland after the death of Kurgan in New York and have left the identity of Russell Nash in order to become Connor Macleod (hence the name John had Macleod rather than Nash).

John always knew he was adopted but it seems he did not know the origins of his new father immortal. Brenda and Connor had a car accident when he was still small, she died, but Connor was unhurt. This marked a lot to Connor and later moved with her son to Morocco where father and son lived happily with his old friend Jack Donovan.

During the events of Highlander 3, Connor is forced to leave his son, Jack Donovan being in charge of it, and return to New York because he felt that the time of the meeting had been repeated. The reason was that 3 old immortal who had been trapped in a cave, isolated from the 1985 meeting got out. One was Kane, who having killed the sorcerer Nakano took over control of Illusion.

Using his new powers is passed by Connor Donovan and tricks to send John to New York and kidnap him at the airport. After a fierce battle to defeat Kane and Connor finally gets reunited with his son and with Alex, her new love.

JOHN NOT HIGHLANDER 3
John makes no appearance in the TV series or Endgame. The reason is that in the history of the series Connor is still active as an immortal. At first it was thought that the events Highlander 3 could have occurred, however Highlander Endgame created a conflict within the story: apparently Connor had spent years locked in a shrine. Some fans speculate that
Highlander 3 might have happened before Connor was locked but Endgame is not made no reference to John and Alex. One hypothesis is that Jacob Kell, immortal who prepared the murder of Rachel and Brenda supposedly, was also responsible for the deaths of Alex and John .*

* In a chat with Christopher Lambert on its website a fan asked for his son in H4 and he replied that John was an adult then and only spoken by letter or telephone.
